Long time no update

Where should I start?

Lets start form the 24th

Got up in the morning for a run and then get ready for the cruise trip. Our boarding time was around noon, but we were told to report early in the morning. The ship itself was very well maintained. But for 4 people to live in a instate cabin, that is unbearable. I really don’t mind paying a lot more for a bigger room. For that matters, 2 to a cabin, more on that later.

The first day was pretty exciting, we watch the ship set sail and explore the place. But the whole trip was overshadowed by people being late and stuff. First night, was a pretty bad night. I did not get good sleep all night, for that, I did not get good night sleep for the whole of the trip.

The second day saw me being very grouchy as I did not get enough sleep. The main reason is that Iscanda snore likes nothing I had seen before. This leads me to think how am I going to survive onboard if I have a roommate that’s snores as well. Do I snore and do it louder than he does or what? Anyhow, for me to snore, its pretty impossible, because I sleep on my tummy. Throughout the cruise trip we had workshops and talks. On the second day, we had a tour around the ship when she was in port. We went to the engine room and stuff. And as usual, Lyn and shivani did not want me to sleep and to hang around with them. I don’t know, but I feel that my relationship went from good to bad after the trip.

Anyhow, the second night, was not any better than the first and I ended up sleeping on deck. The good thing is was that, I signed up for the Point system card thing that gave me a free entry to the spa onboard. Therefore the second night, I went for a spa trip with Nicolas and company.

The third day saw shore, when we went to phuket. The beaches were beautiful and stuff. The shopping was great. The bargaining skills can get good improvement if you stay there long enough. I tagged with Nicolas and went in pair around the place. We thought it was better for just 2 to a group rather than having a large group of people going together, we covered more grounds and had more fun than the others. Nick and I had KFC for lunch. The KFC there is totally different, the chili there are freeflow, unlike the packed ones you get here, on top of that, they cook your order rather than take it from the shelf. In fact, you never get to see a local KFC rack empty. But the KFC we went, the rack only had one drumstick. In another words, the food were really fresh!

We went back to the ship at around 4pm. Back in the cabin, I tried on the stuff I bought. In total, I bought a shirt, a singlet, a pair of shorts, and necklaces. Other than the necklaces and the shirt, nothing really fits. Ahh..

Anyhow, that evening was the Gala dinner also known as the Captain’s gala dinner. Only jimmy and I bought blazer. How disappointing. I was expecting the business kids to be better dressed than I did. Anyhow, the dinner went fine and that evening was Jimmy’s girlfriend birthday, Okay. Zhen Ling is her name. anyhow, it went well. And we had gala show that night after the dinner. That night, as usual, I did not get good sleep.

Last day, things were rather normal, talk and everything. My only thought for the whole trip is that we just eat and eat. Looking at the deep sea end miles and miles of water, I felt scared and lonely.

That night at the DFS I bought 50 over dollars worth of beer and wine. And so, I am back.

So on the 28th
I did my laundry, rest myself and prepare for work the next day.

29th saw me working at the Acer roadshow at funnan. I have a post about it. Working with this new manager Darren isn’t as fun as Huiyi. He is not as serious and organized as hui yi. On top of that, he do not provide as much welfare as she does. At least hui yi provides bread talk and stuff.

Work wise was okay. People were fairly fine. Sales wise, was not as good as I expected. But heh… I am fine with it. Work ended on he 2nd of may, a Monday, I went to have a well deserved dinner and the Japanese restaurant. After that, I went down to Mustfa to see Nick, he is working at the Akira roadshow selling TV and mini-highfi. I wanted to look at the Nikon cameras. The reason behind was that Mr. Kooh, you know the guy that climbed Mt Everest for Singapore? Well, he used a Nikon camera when he when to the north pole and south as well as up Everest. Pretty impressive if you ask me. I wanted to get the 7MP or the 5MP. But the sales personal told me that if I want something that can go up the mountain and down the water, I should get a Casio which they are having a promotion on. Its only $799, and the usual price is $848 I save $49 on top of that, I get a SD card, a carrier that don’t fit, and a cleaning kit that cost about $10 dollars. All in all, I think I got a pretty good deal. I was not in a hurry in getting one, but since I’ll have to get it sooner or later, I thought I may as well take advantage of the promotion and on above all, it was the last day. I think they kind of screwed up my warranty card and the new set they gave me had a dead pixels. I thought it was a sign that I should get a Nikon at that moment as they were really out of stock. But finally, they gave me the display set. If you have been to mustfa, you should know that everything is wrapped up in plastic sheets, for that I accepted the display set.

That said, (3rd May) life without work is basically pretty meaningless and well… nothing to do other than eat, sleep, shit and play with my cam, sometime surfing some harmless porn and playing with myself.

My exam results came out on the 5th and it was a pretty big hit to me as I lost my top student spot. I really take my head off the top student Sabrina, she too is under MPA’s sponsorship. That makes things slightly better as that get her a good standing with the company and she finally can please the company. However, that makes me look ugly. I got 4 As 1 Dist 1 B+ and 1 B. and for Sabrina to be the top, that would means either more Distintion or more A. I think I am performing well, but I believe I could do better. Either way, I am happy with my results even though I am not the top student. Then in the evening, I went to Mustfa again to get my mon her mother’s day present. My sis and I got a mini hi-fi system for her.

6th May
I got a call from Capt FJF early in the morning. He said that he needed some DNS students as helpers in school. So he indirectly got me in charged. I took close to 2 hours to get 6 helpers in total. At about 11, I went to the gym with Jimmy and then went to school for the helping at about 2pm. We got down to our duties and found out that we have not got enough people. Anyhow, after a little traffic directing, we were treated to a $50-for-6-people late lunch by the deputy director. Then later the lady from the office came and said she will sign that onto the SMA account. That made us wild and we ordered more. So basically we had a $70 MacDonald’s. I tell you, it was massive. I got home at about 7pm and there was no need for dinner. On my way back, I bought wraping paper for the gift and I waited for my sister to come back and get it wrapped up. When my sister came backI stay up till rather late to watch friends and update my laptop.

Today. I got up pretty late as I slept at 2 or was it 3? Anyhow, at about 5pm, I got a call from Capt FJF. He invited me to the Tanglin Club. On the phone he said about wanting me to meet someone and he wanted to talk to be and prepare me for sailing. I was to meet him at 7pm with long sleeve shirt and pants. What I did not know was that he was performing and it was the club’s member’s talent night. It comes with dinner as well. Hmm… he put it as it’s a reward for being on the director’s list. I was really happy that he invited me. I mean he could have gotten someone else. I mean… of all people me. I kind of think he got an extra sit and therefore needed someone. But firstly, one sit will mean one sit worth billing. Next he could have called other people. Anyhow, I don’t really know what’s up his sleeve, but I am really thankful. It was a wonderful evening.

Sunday night. Went to FJF’s party at big splash. The hard hat café, the place was not what I expected. The food was rather okay, and that the main thing for the night must have been the drinking. It was a not so happening night, where the air was filled with farewell and warm blessing.
Monday, went for the cruise meet up at around noon. Then went off to the soccer match of ITE vs SP. It was a boring match and boring place. Nothing much about that to talk about. SP lost. 2; nil.

Tuesday, went to the gym with Jimmy and then off to school to collect my TARB book. He went to collect his certificate.

Today, slept most of the way and that went to TPY to return my books and bought some stuff there. Bought some writing paper and the Sea Bend incase i get seasick. Uneventful week.
